"Why You Need to Heal Your Ancestral Lines" on May 3 "Why Shamanism Now?" Radio Show

On her radio show "Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity", shaman and host Christina Pratt talks about what it means to heal our ancestral lines - especially the unresolved issues of our ancestors -- and why it's important.

2011-05-01
RHINEBECK, NY, May 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) Streaming live on the Co-Creator Radio Network on Tuesday, May 3, at 11 a.m. Pacific time/2 p.m. Eastern time, on her show "Why Shamanism Now?: A Practical Path to Authenticity," shaman and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt asks the question: What does it really mean to heal our ancestral lines? According to Pratt, to truly heal what lies unresolved in the ancestral lines, we must go to the source of the problem. We must go to the first person by journeying back who knows how far in time -- to that first person who made that one bad decision that changed his or her life and then all of the lives of all of the descendants who followed. These decisions become the unresolved energies of the ancestors. If left unresolved, they continue to limit, manipulate, and overshadow our lives today.

In this episode of "Why Shamanism Now?" titled "Why You Need to Heal Your Ancestral Lines", Pratt tells listeners why we need to do this: It is the only way that we—the living—will ever be truly free to make new decisions. The only way we will ever be able to engage our wisdom, innovation, and co-operation and make the high quality decisions needed today is to clear this unresolved ancestral energy. If we want a different answer for health care, war, economics, how we treat the environment, education, homelessness, joblessness, and child poverty, we must stop living the answers of our ancestors. In this week's show, Pratt explores what all this could mean for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual heath to heal the ancestral lines.

Christina Pratt is an authentic, non-traditional contemporary shaman. In practice since 1990, she specializes in mending the soul and transforming the parts of life that feel impossible. A teacher of exceptional clarity, humor, and inspiration, Pratt brings the power of shamanism into the practical grasp of anyone willing to take responsibility for improving the quality of their life. Her well-received book, An Encyclopedia of Shamanism (Rosen), is an 800-page, two-volume set with over 750 in-depth entries that clearly discuss the basic concepts of shamanism, methods, and traditions of over 50 different shamanic peoples. Pratt is the founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing in Portland, OR, and New York, NY, creator of the original Foundations of Shamanism and Shamanic Healing course at the University of Minnesota, and a frequent and honored speaker for the American Holistic Medical Association.
