Home Stager Economy Report Released by Staging Diva

Home staging expert, Debra Gould, has released an updated edition of her free economy report for home stagers. Gould wrote the report for aspiring home stagers who are debating whether to start a staging business in today's volatile economy.

2011-05-05
TORONTO, CANADA, May 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) Debra Gould, also known as The Staging Diva , originally released her special report called "Can I grow a home staging business in a depressed economy?" in 2009. Thousands of stagers have downloaded their own free copy since then to learn how the home staging industry has been affected by the downturn in the real estate market.

This report has inspired many home stagers despite difficult market conditions, so Gould has updated it each year to keep it current. The third edition has just been released and contains information and real estate statistics specific to 2011. It also has a new name: "Should I start a home staging business in this economy?"

"Every day I hear from another aspiring home stager who wants to start their own business, but is unable to move forward because of family members and friends who claim it's a bad idea, often with no information to support their opinions. Add that to news of a slow real estate market and their dream of being self-employed as a home stager is crushed," states Gould, founder of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program. She adds, "This new version of my free report on the economy for home stagers compiles all of the advice I give with recent real-life examples from Staging Diva graduates, updated statistics and more current research of real estate conditions in the U.S. and Canada."

This economic report is available for free so that it's accessible to as many home stagers as possible. It will be as informative for established stagers as it will be to aspiring stagers trying to make an informed decision about their career. It will also be of special interest to middle-aged workers who have lost their jobs in the recession, since most of the new jobs that are being created in the U.S. are going to workers under the age of 34. Home staging is a low cost business to start with high potential income for people with creative talent.

Gould says, "This free report will bust many common myths about the economy while also explaining why home staging businesses can, despite what most people think, actually thrive in a slow housing market. The report teaches aspiring stagers 16 ways to get money now to help build a home staging business and shares real examples of how staging has helped non-selling homes attract offers within days even in slow real estate markets."

Having started her first successful business, a marketing consulting firm, at the beginning of the 1990s recession, Gould is no stranger to thriving under difficult economic conditions. She states, "When everyone said I was crazy to quit my high-level job to start a business, I knew there would be more security in working for myself than for someone else." Gould was right. She was soon earning more than she ever had as an employee while her fellow MBA graduates were being laid off from their corporate jobs.

"My hope is that after reading this special report, home stagers will feel more secure in their decision to go ahead and start a home staging business. They should also be inspired after learning about the significant opportunities that exist for stagers today regardless of what the economy is doing," says Gould.
