Urban Teacher, C. Angela, Pens An Eye-Opening And Inspirational Book About The Realities Of The Classroom

Her passion for teaching and the desire for students to learn have fueled a fire in her to bring out the best in each child. Through her personal experiences and insights, she's been able to teach some of the most gifted and most challenged students. With a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and currently, a Doctoral Candidate in Urban Education Leadership Specializing in Planning and Administration, she's learned a lot in the classroom about teaching. She has chronicled her experiences in her third book entitled, This Urban Teacher's Journal.

A native of Jamaica, C. Angela is a gifted woman and teacher who firmly believes that no child is hopeless and with the right encouragement, every student can fly. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, initially she thought she would be pursuing a career in music. "What I did not know at the time is that there were children in urban education whose lives I was supposed to touch," says C. Angela. "There are children that have experienced sexual abuse, abandonment and so many other challenges. There is something in my soul that reaches out to them and they feel safe with me," shares the teacher.
