Metric Engineering, Inc. Increases Environmental Capabilities to support FDOT Projects with New Hire in Miami

MIAMI, FL, May 08, 2011 (Press-News.org) Metric Engineering Inc. is pleased to welcome Ms. Jenny Basantes as an Environmental Scientist in its expanding Environmental Department. In her role at Metric, Ms. Basantes will provide a wide array of environmental assessments, permitting and PD&E support, and will report to Director of Environmental Services, Michael McCoy.

Ms. Basantes has a Master's degree in Ecology from the University of Florida, and brings valuable Florida Dept. of Transportation (FDOT) experience with her work in field compliance monitoring and PD&E assessments. Ms. Basantes' professional experience also includes work for internationally renowned Galapagos National Park in the Galapagos Islands.

"Jenny is fulfilling a key part of Metric Engineering's plan for our Environmental Department," states McCoy, "She maintains a client-centered focus on FDOT and improves Metric's ability to respond to an increasing workload."

Ms. Basantes is based out of Metric's Miami office, which offers services related to transportation and infrastructure design; construction engineering and inspection (CEI); planning / project development and environmental (PD&E); emergency management; intelligent transportation systems (ITS); permitting and environmental; GIS and geomatics.
