WOODBRIDGE, NJ, May 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) Raymond M. Brown, Chair of the White Collar Defense and Corporate Compliance Group at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP (GRS&D), delivered the Seventh Annual Kislak Real Estate Institute Stephen B. Siegel Lecture Series & Leon Hess Business School H.R. Young Lecture on White Collar Crime" on April 14th, 2011 at Wilson Hall at Monmouth University. The lecture is widely attended by business leaders, university leaders and board members and students. A reception was held after the lecture.
On March 24th, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund 11th Annual Awards of Excellence recognized Mr. Brown at its annual dinner. The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), named for the U.S. Supreme Court's first African-American Justice, endeavors to "prepare a new generation of leaders" by offering financial support to students attending the member schools of the TMCF. Awards of Excellence are presented to individuals who share this commitment to education. This year, the Fund also honored Barbara Bell Coleman, Jerry Izenberg, Lawrence S. Lustberg and Judge Shirley A. Tolentino.
In addition to being chair of the White Collar Defense and Corporate Compliance Group at GRS&D, Mr. Brown chairs the The International Human Rights Compliance Group at the firm. The group counsels multinationals, both foreign and domestic, in a number of areas: human rights impact assessments, governance, transactions and dispute resolution and litigation.
Mr. Brown is the host of the Emmy Award winning New Jersey Network Program "Due Process" and is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Criminal Lawyers. He received his B.A. from Columbia University and his Juris Doctor from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley.
