Brian S. Chacker Elected to Philadelphia Bar Association's Board of Governors

Chacker, was elected to the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia Bar Association. Board members were elected in December and began serving their three-year term on January 1, 2011.

With more than 200 years of dedicated service, the 13,000-member Philadelphia Bar Association is America's first chartered metropolitan bar association and Pennsylvania's largest local bar association. It provides influential dialog in ongoing developments of both the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania legal systems.

The Board of Governors establishes the official policy of the Philadelphia Bar Association and looks to the Association's sections and committees for recommendations on areas of interest or concern. Attorneys, judges, and politicians look to the Philadelphia Bar Association for guidance on controversial legal issues; and for an organized meeting ground for professional support and information sharing. Additionally, Philadelphia residents look to the Philadelphia Bar Association for general information on how to address legal issues and where they can go to find additional information and help.

Brain S. Chacker is counsel at the Philadelphia personal injury firm of Gay, Chacker & Mittin, P.C. where he concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, civil rights, premises liability and medical malpractice litigation. He received his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Chacker was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyer Magazine for five years.
