The company has also announced two employees to manage and support the new full-service office.
The Panama City office will serve the growing business demand in the Latin American region. Randy Velarde, The Plaza Group President, said the company is seeing strong growth in Central and South America from both a sourcing and supply position. "The new office will provide regional support to our supplier and buyer customers and enhance our service in this growing region," said Velarde.
Laura Sanchez, a veteran in global chemical distribution sales, will bring more than 20 years experience to her new position as General Manager of The Plaza Group's new Latin American office. Sanchez will be responsible for customer service, logistics and procurement for business generated through the Panama office. Prior to joining The Plaza Group, she managed sales and customer support with Univar USA/Chemcentral.
Yarissel Robertson will also join The Plaza Group's Panama Office as an administrative assistant.
