Boston Design Build Firm Feinmann Inc. Wins Chrysalis Remodeling Award

Feinmann Inc. won the Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence in the Best Addition over $100k category for their Boston-area home kitchen design.

2011-05-19
LEXINGTON, MA, May 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Feinmann Inc. (http://feinmann.com), a Boston design and build firm, today announces their recent win of the Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence in the Best Addition over $100k category.

Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 81 remodeling companies from across the United States were named winners at the eighteenth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The winning projects were selected from over 400 entries. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.

The award winning kitchen was created to meet the needs the of the owners who wanted to update their traditional kitchen with a more modern style while taking advantage of a garden view and opening up traffic flow. Feinmann's design and build team reconfigured the kitchen layout and built a cantilevered box bay window comprised of floor to ceiling glass on three sides, suspended over the garden enabling an abundance of natural light to brighten the entire space. The new design offers an additional 30 square feet.

Says Feinmann's clients, "An initial desire to simply update an old kitchen grew into a plan for an invigorated, modern working space. The floor-to-ceiling windows, designed by the Feinmann staff, enable us to feel a part of our outdoor garden during all four seasons. Guests often prefer to visit with us in this light filled, airy space."

"To win an award in this highly competitive category is quite an achievement," says Ken Kanline, Director of the Awards. "This company has won 6 Chrysalis Awards in the past 7 years, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to professionalism and excellence.

As specialists in whole house renovations, room additions, and kitchen/ bath remodels, Feinmann's award-winning design and build team offers all the services a client may need including architectural design and residential construction.

This is not the first time Feinmann has been recognized for their outstanding work in kitchen design and remodeling. Earlier this year their Boston kitchen design won the 2011 CotY Regional NARI Award for Region 1 the Best Residential Addition $100K - $250K. Feinmann has also been recognized for their Boston bathroom elegant design work, as well as their complete renovation of a Queen Anne Victorian home in Newton, MA.
