BBC2 Britain's Next Big Thing's Lifft Slings Appears at the NEC Baby Show

Lifft Slings, the baby brand currently appearing on BBC2 Britain's Next Big Thing, will be appearing at the Baby Show at the NEC.

2011-05-19
NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND, May 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) LifftTM Slings is a range of baby slings designed to fit perfectly and be easy to use. It was founded by Louise Day in 2007 and is the only known baby sling scientifically proven to improve posture.

Lifft Slings is currently featuring in the BBC2 series Britain's Next Big Thing; a documentary following three major retailers, Boots, Habitat and Liberty, in their search for the next big thing from small entrepreneurs.

Appearing on a prime time BBC show is helping make Lifft a household name and this now well-known baby brand will be appearing at the NEC Baby Show in Birmingham on the Bras4mums stand. The Lifft Sling can be used with newborn babies through to toddlers aged three weighing up to 35llbs. The clasp and buckle-free sling can be worn in five different ways to allow this. Louise Day will be showing parents 'how to Lifft', by demonstrating the different sling carrying positions that make Lifft such as flexible accessory. Visitors will also be able to buy baby slings from Lifft at the show.

Founder Louise Day said "I am really looking forward to coming back to the NEC, as it gives me the opportunity to show new parents exactly how to use the sling properly to keep their baby close and safe. Also, since appearing on 'Britain's Next Big Thing' there's been loads of buzz around Lifft Slings, so I'm really hoping people come and find out what it's all about."

Lifft is also a member of the National Consortium of UK Sling Manufacturers, which has compiled advice for the best use of a sling - T.I.C.K.S. This stands for Tight In view at all times, Close enough to kiss, Keep chin off chest, Supported back.

Up to 83% of women experience some kind of back ache during pregnancy, which can continue once the baby is born. Choosing the right sling not only keeps baby close, but can help support parents' spines and backs, by helping them carry the baby in the best way possible, to help avoid any permanent effects.

The Lifft Sling is available in the three original colours, but is now also available in navy exclusive to Boots, following Britain's Next Big television series. Louise has also recently launched a limited edition collection featuring five colourways which are available for a short time only. All of the slings are in sizes from 8-10 through to 18-20, as well as S, M and L sizes for new dads too.

About Lifft Slings:
The Lifft Sling has been designed to offer supreme levels of comfort and style for both parents and baby, and is incredibly easy to use. The range has been beautifully designed to ensure that the carrying positions are natural - the sling mimics how a baby would be carried in arms. Whilst in the Lifft Sling baby can always see the face and voice, as well as feeling the heartbeat of the wearer, helping make baby feel swaddled and secure. Lifft Slings are available to buy from stockists nationwide in the UK as well as being able to buy baby slings online from the Lifft website.
