Billboard Top 10 Recordring Artist Sir Ari Gold Free Concert

Sir Ari Gold maintains his hometown state of mind, performing as the headlining act for Pride Goes East's Saturday, June 4 concert at 3:30 PM taking place between East Houston and Stanton Streets.

2011-05-19
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ, May 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Lower East Side native and openly gay pop artist Sir Ari Gold is a buzz worthy, subculture celebrity in his own right, quickly winning over critics far beyond the reach of the LGBT community. In a "TrueBlood meets Mad Men fantasy dreamscape" Ari's music video for his single "Make My Body Rock" captivates attention with bold imagery and a dirty beat with just enough grit to satisfy even the pickiest of ears.

Ari Gold is not only an Award-Winning Billboard Top 10 Recording Artist, but has had his music featured on VH1, MTV, NPR, IFC, BBC, HBO, and LOGO. His music always pushes the boundaries of what it means to be Pop, and audiences and critics all take heed. "[His music] takes the listener to fresh places," says People Magazine. Ari's recognition range from an Independent Music Award, to multiple Outmusic Awards, to "Decade Of Achievement" Award from the LGBT Expo. Sir Ari was even knighted by the Imperial Court of New York.
An advocate and icon for the gay community, Ari has performed alongside other legendary and iconic artists such as Chaka Khan, Debbie Harry, and Cyndi Lauper.

Sir Ari Gold maintains his hometown state of mind, performing as the headlining act for Pride Goes East's Saturday, June 4 concert at 3:30 PM taking place between East Houston and Stanton Streets. The free concert event is open to the public and will feature Josh Zuckerman, Tongue in Public, a NOH8 photo booth, and a number of other performers as well as a Lady Gaga look-alike contest. As a native New Yorker and a fourth generation Jew to call the lower east side home, this performance has significant meaning to Sir Ari Gold. Gold is also involved with the non-profit organization LIVEOUTLOUD.info, as Gold puts it, ""I particularly like the work that Liveoutloud.info does as it goes beyond alerting people to LGBT bullying, they actually work to build self esteem for those youths that often find it challenging to be socially different."

"Make My Body Rock" is featured on Ari's fourth studio album, Between the Spirit & the Flesh, available for pre-release on iTunes May 17. The album also includes the soon to be released single, "Sparkle" featuring Sara Dash from the original Labelle fame. The video will be premiered at Gold's upcoming Album Release party at Industry in New York City on Wednesday May 25th.
