PORTLAND, OR, May 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Companion Connection Senior Care announced today a new partnership with aQuire Training Solutions designed to help member agencies build higher quality caregiver teams and reach out to family caregivers in their communities.
The partnership provides over 40 hours of online Caregiver Training to staff at participating agencies, giving these agencies the tools to enhance the quality of care their staff provide through their in-home care services. Additionally, it includes the Family Caregiver Education series, also available online, for agencies to offer as a complimentary service in their outreach to families caring for loved ones at home.
"Home care in America is often a collaborative effort between families and paid caregivers," says David Goodman, President of Companion Connection. "It makes good sense, both from a business and social perspective, for us to support families with high quality education programs like the ones offered by aQuire."
Among the features aQuire offers participating home care agencies is a record-keeping system that allows the agency to quickly track all staff training to ensure that compliance is being met, as well as an assignment system that allows managers to identify individual staff member needs and assign appropriate training courses out of the dozens available.
Companion Connection Senior Care provides independent home care operators with many of the advantages of being part of a national company, but without the franchise fees or royalties. Companion Connection will also assist individuals interested in starting their own home care agencies with all the training and tools required to get started and to succeed. Home care is one of the fastest growing segments of the senior care industry and is projected to grow exponentially with the aging of the baby boomer generation.
aQuire Training Solutions offers online education for the full range of senior care providers, from front line staff training to leadership and administrator certification and continuing education. (Website: http://www.aquiretraining.com.)
