Veeda Oncology Announces New Service line for Community-Based Oncology Practices

Veeda Oncology, a full service Oncology CRO with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, has launched a valued new service line as part of its Site Management Services (SMO), Virtual Research Management (VRM), for community-based oncology practices.

COLUMBUS, OH, May 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Veeda Oncology, a full service Oncology CRO with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, has launched a valued new service line as part of its Site Management Services (SMO), Virtual Research Management (VRM), for community-based oncology practices.

Virtual Research Management is a program that will provide management services to community-based oncology practices to enhance research program success. These services are individualized based on Veeda's EUR s initial assessment of needs in collaboration with the practice preferences in areas such as strategic and financial planning, and operational support. By providing additional tools and resources, our services are meant to supplement current research programs in areas of existing need. This program has been successfully piloted at several community-based sites.

Sharon Jameson, BSN, MBA, Vice President, Clinical Development and Operations for the Veeda Oncology's site management organization (SMO), stated, Community based practices face many challenges in conducting oncology clinical trials in today's economic environment. The primary challenges are meeting accrual goals while maintaining economic stability of the research program.
