LONDON, ENGLAND, May 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) Over 50,000 fans are expected to pack the Hamburg arena on July 2nd as a two year feud comes to a head between David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko.
Boxing fans are expecting blood, sweat and tears from the pair who have been battling with each other verbally since Haye pulled out of the original fight in June 2009 due to an injury.
Haye has been blamed for starting the dispute after he turned up to a press conference wearing a t-shirt showing Haye grasping the decapitated heads of the Klitschko brothers. Klitschko, 35, has since vowed to teach Haye, 30, a lesson and make him the 50th knockout of his career at the unification fight for the WBA, WBO, IBF and The Ring Heavyweight Titles.
Thomson Sport is offering fans the chance to swap the packed out pubs for the ImTech Arena, in Hamburg, to watch UK vs. Ukraine in what could be the biggest fight in British history. The atmosphere is sure to be intense, with thousands of fans expected to head to the second largest city in Germany and transform it into a British dominated crowd.
Away from the excitement of the ring, Hamburg (often referred to as the 'Gateway to the World') offers everything from the history of the old town and port, to the beaches on the banks of the River Elbe. Considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, Hamburg makes an ideal short-break destination.
Thomson Sport offers packages to watch David Haye take on Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg from GBP775 per person. This package (2nd - 3rd July 2011) includes an upper-tier ticket for the fight (option to upgrade ticket), one night 4* accommodation on B&B basis, return private charter flight (Luton to Hamburg), airport transfers and stadium transfers.
