NORTH TUSTIN, CA, May 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) A STX Golf advocate and enthusiast of the Soft Face Insert Technology, was presented an opportunity to play the Colonial Course when his fellow PGA Professional pulled out of the tournament last week. As an alternate he prepared himself to make the most out of the situation and that he did. The USC graduate and PGA Professional shot four rounds in the 60s - 69, 68, 69, and 67 to finish a seven-under 273.
A week prior to playing in the Crown Plaza Invitational at Colonial, he put back into play his favorite STX Envision TR Putter. He as well as the entire field knows the course at Colonial demands precision shot making and exceptional putting. His long handled putter helped him control and direct his putts which lead him to his best finish of the year.
According to STX Director of Golf Steve Henneman, "We as a company understand how effective the performance characteristics are of our soft face inserts but when a PGA Professional relies on the technology to capture his top finish of the season, it further validates our expertise and putter line."
This Top-10 finish was attained playing the award-winning STX fixed face Envision TR Putter.
This unique modern mallet with its angular appearance is attractive to the eye but actually assists with alignment and ensures a proper address. Chief Club Designer Bob Engman designed the head geometrically so it makes it easy for golfers to see the putter when it is not properly aligned throughout the stroke. Engman also distributed more weight further out toward the heel and toe for a higher moment of inertia.
STX, known for their insert faces, equipped the new Envision TR Putter for a variety of responses. It is available in the black and red insert options. The black insert is the softest in the STX line. It delivers the highest friction and resilience rate plus increased dwell time. Those characteristics are chemically formulated to get the ball rolling sooner and keep your putts on line. For a medium resiliency rate, the red insert offers an intermediate amount of dwell time for true control.
About STX:
STX is acknowledged as being the golf industry's foremost authority on insert face technology. Over a quarter century ago, the company introduced the first patented soft face insert, creating the "softest legal face in golf." Following this advancement, the company introduced the first USGA approved interchangeable face insert and removable weight system. Both these and other innovations have helped create the standards for putter design today.

2. Rule number 7 - Be friendly
Despite Rules 2 and 6, there is generally a need for some courteous or friendly remark. An email that is 'strictly business' with no friendly introduction or closing comes off as officious. ...
