Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

2011-05-27
CHICAGO, IL, May 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Chicago's most fashionable philanthropists are collaborating with jewelry designer Sophia Forero for See What Sparkles, an evening of fabulous jewels on sale to benefit The Chicago Lighthouse. See What Sparkles will be held at Chicago Lighthouse's facility at 1850 West Roosevelt Road, on Thursday, June 16, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

There is no entrance fee for the event, just one or more items of new and gently used fine designer, vintage and couture clothing or accessories. Fashion donations will benefit Flair, the Lighthouse's two day sale at The Peninsula Chicago, Sept. 24-25.

To build support of fashion philanthropy, Forero and the Lighthouse are inviting the community into the agency to tour the impressive building, which houses over two dozen programs and services for people who are blind or visually impaired. Guests will enjoy an evening of hors d'oeuvres, libations and jewelry while exploring one of the most comprehensive social service agencies in the nation.

To become a supporter of Flair, the Lighthouse is inviting the community to host or attend an acquisition event; donate their gently used clothing and accessories by scheduling a pick-up or dropping off at the Lighthouse; and help spread the word about Flair.

To learn more about Flair and the Chicago Lighthouse, contact Chelsea Horrigan at 312-666-1331 ext. 3552 or e-mail Chelsea.horrigan@chicagolighthouse.org.
