FLAGSTAFF, AZ, May 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Graduates from CollegeAmerica will don caps and gowns Saturday, June 4, to receive their college diplomas. The graduates join the thousands of alumni who have received career training from CollegeAmerica through degree programs in healthcare and information technology.
The program will commence with special keynote speeches from U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar (AZ-01) and former Attorney General Diane Humetewa, the first Native American woman to hold the position in Arizona.
Among the outstanding graduates is twenty-two-year-old Brandon Henderson, who is graduating with an Associate of Occupational Studies degree in Medical Specialties. After being laid off from his previous job, Henderson wanted to pursue his dream of entering the medical field. He chose CollegeAmerica Flagstaff because of the pace and convenience of the classes.
"My teachers helped me through the tough times and helped me excel," says Henderson. "I gained a new beginning to life, a sense of purpose, and friends."
Henderson is currently working at Flagstaff Medical Center as a pharmacy technician, where he was hired after completing his externship. He hopes to attend medical school someday and become a doctor.
