Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park is building a new school in Mauve, Mozambique

Construction work on a new school at the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park in Mozambique, Africa has begun in April 2011.

2011-05-27
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC, May 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Building of schools is one of the projects organized by the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park in its effort to help develop the community of people living on its territory. The new elementary school will be raised in an area untouched by civilization in Mavue, Mozambique.

Construction of a new school for the children living in the area of Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park in Mozambique, Africa has begun in April 2011. The realization of the development in Mavue is provided by a team of specialists and workers from Europe. A number of local residents are also actively involved in the construction. Thanks to these workers we were able to set the foundations and now the bearing walls of the school buildings are being built.

Mavue Elementary School building complex
The elementary school in Mavue was designed as a complex of three separate buildings, where the ground plan of the complex is in the shape of the letter U. Two other small adjacent buildings will serve as school technical premises.

Two of the three main buildings will be intended for the children's educational needs; their largest part is formed by spacious classes and will also have ample office area for teachers. Third - connecting building will serve as a gym and a social area with a broader range of use. The buildings will be built in a simple fashion with materials readily available in the given location and in a way that it does not interfere with the natural appearance of the local landscape and its natural balance. The courtyard, which will be formed between the classes, will have greenery planted on it and children can take advantage of this area in their breaks between classes.

Development projects supported by Tramincorp
The entire project is financed as one of the development projects organized by the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park. Financial support for the "School in Mavue, Mozambique" was provided by Tramincorp. This African mining corporation is an active supporter of the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park and as part of its social responsibility project it helps to improve the natural and social environment on the African continent. Besides its participation on the development of school in Mavue it also tries to cooperate with Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park to preserve the natural reservoir at the Mozambican border and supports other activities beneficial for the community in this area.

"We are aware that it is important to change and improve the living conditions of the people living in Africa and at the same time also support their personal development. This is why we are glad that we can help the residents of Mozambique through the "Community Development Program". We want to keep supporting the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park activities financially and sponsor them through material gifts," says the press spokesperson of Tramincorp.
