Springfield Armory Named Presenting Sponsor of USPSA Area 1 Handgun Championship

The U.S. Practical Shooting Association has named Springfield Armory the presenting sponsor of the 2011 USPSA Area 1 Regional Handgun Championship taking place June 22-26 in Shedd, Ore.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WA, June 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) The U.S. Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) announced that firearms maker Springfield Armory will be the presenting sponsor of the organization's Area 1 regional championship. The 2011 USPSA Area 1 Regional Handgun Championship, Presented by Springfield Armory, will take place June 22-26 at Albany Rifle and Pistol Club, Shedd, Ore.

"Springfield Armory has always been a tremendous supporter of Area 1 matches and we are pleased to announce they are continuing their support. Shooters will have the opportunity to win Springfield Armory firearms, including their new Range Officer model.," said Chuck Anderson, the USPSA Area 1 director.

The match is the third of eight regional pistol championships on the USPSA calendar and will draw more than 300 shooters from around the country as well as Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, the states that make up the Area 1 region.
