ATLANTA, GA, June 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Rainmaker Group, a world leader in automated profit optimization software and revenue management services for the multifamily housing and hospitality industries, announced that its new corporate offices have earned the prestigious 2011 Gold Design Award from the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. Carson Guest, Rainmaker's design firm, won the highly competitive award in the category of corporate offices over 10,000 square feet.
New space inspires spontaneous creativity in a welcoming 'corporate home'
Having outgrown previous space with employees in three separate buildings, Rainmaker's co-founders, Bruce Barfield and Tammy Farley, wanted to bring everyone under one roof to foster creativity and teamwork. "Our goal was to design an office that was not only attractive and inviting, but also one suited for collaborative processes in developing our revenue management solutions," said Bruce Barfield, President of The Rainmaker Group. "We wanted our new space to be comfortable and facilitate spontaneous innovative creativity among our scientists and developers. At the same time, we wanted offices to warmly welcome clients to our new home. Carson Guest struck this balance perfectly, and we are pleased they won this esteemed design award."
Carson Guest design captures Rainmaker culture of innovation with a focus on client success
"Rainmaker may be high-tech, but they are also high-touch with a committed problem-solving approach focused on client success," said John Guest, Carson Guest COO. "The company's team-based workforce needed an open, casual environment where staff could easily brainstorm and develop creative solutions for clients. We created a uniquely modern design and incorporated areas throughout the space for impromptu touch-down meetings with mobile tables and chairs. We also used white marker board paint on entire walls to encourage creativity and imagination."
Sustainable design demonstrates that beauty can mean business
Carson Guest's light-filled, green design includes durable, sustainable finishes dramatically highlighted by bright, yet indirect long-life lighting. Floor-to-ceiling windows with views to nature abound, and corridors are curved to create added dimension. Rainmaker's corporate logo in the reception lobby is a unique visual signature backed by translucent resin that glows with the sunlight during the day and is front-lighted in the evening. Glass walls with frosted film accents and soothing eggshell paint are interrupted by pops of color from vivid green accents, art, and other distinctive design details. John Guest added that "All these elements convey Rainmaker's corporate culture of creativity and excellence fostered in a comfortable, welcoming setting. We're proud to have designed such a modern, inviting, and functional office space that will expand as Rainmaker continues to grow."
