2011-06-04
SARASOTA, FL, June 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) In keeping pace with a steadily improving housing market, national home builder Taylor Morrison has implemented strategic staff changes, promoting a new regional vice president and adding key personnel to meet rising consumer demand for quality-built new homes.

"We are pleased to welcome these talented professionals to our team and look forward to the value they will add to the overall home buying experience for our clients," said Steve Kempton, division president of Taylor Morrison. "We feel very encouraged with the increasing consumer interest in buying new homes and are confident that now is the time to put staff in place that will make our team stronger and ready to meet the needs of our clients."

The company is pleased to announce the promotion of Cammie Longenecker to vice president of sales and marketing for its West Florida division. Previously, she had served as the sales manager of Taylor Morrison's Tampa Bay and Sarasota regions, where she earned praise for her ability to produce significant results during a difficult economy. Longenecker is a licensed real estate agent, a member of the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors, and serves on the board of directors of the Sales and Marketing Council of the Tampa Bay Builders Association. Her prior work experience includes operations and sales management for Mercedes Homes in Sarasota, Tampa and Jacksonville. She was instrumental in the launch of a Green initiative for this builder. Prior to embarking on a real estate sales career, she managed real estate investment portfolios as an independent consultant. Longenecker attended Boise State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, cum laude, from University of Phoenix.

Tracy Briones has been promoted to assistant controller of the division. She began her career with Taylor Morrison as a staff accountant and was promoted within a year of joining the company. Briones has been part of the team for five years. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of South Florida, as well as a Masters of Business Administration degree with concentrations in Finance, Management Information Systems and International Business. She is currently working towards becoming a certified public accountant.

Taylor Morrison has added several new positions to the West Florida region. Joining the company are Katy Walker, Janell Hand and Heather Collins.

Walker will serve as marketing manager of the West Florida division, where she will provide key support for Taylor Morrison communities from Tampa to Naples. Her professional background includes marketing leadership positions for environmental and technology consulting companies and working as a business process analyst for Accenture. She is also an entrepreneur who founded an online community as well as her own consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and marketing. Walker graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Arts and Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations.

Hand joins the company as a new home sales associate at Avelar Creek in Riverview. She has been selling new homes since 1986 and has worked for several large home builders in the Tampa area. As a CSP, Hand has trained and mentored many new sales professionals and has been a member of the Tampa Sales and Marketing Council for 12 years.

Finally, Collins has been named a new homes sales associate for Tampa Palms. She is an award-winning certified sales professional who joins the Taylor Morrison team with nine years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in many different facets of real estate. In addition to her extensive experience in new home sales, Collins has also owned a successful interior design and staging company. As a realtor for both buyers and sellers, she has an in-depth understanding of the Greater Tampa Bay market, including the communities, homes and people that make it a thriving market.
