WESTPORT, CT, June 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) Weston Software Inc today announced that William J. Malik, CISA, will become the Director of Product Management for the Westport, CT-based startup. Weston Software Inc manages Macintosh, Linux, UNIX, and hypervisors - in the data center, local, remote, and mobile; in virtual environments and the hypervisor itself; and in the private, public, or hybrid cloud - agentlessly.
"Bill brings deep technical and marketplace knowledge to Weston Software Inc," said founder Hank Voight. "His architectural understanding and industry insight will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals."
Before joining Weston Software Inc, Bill worked as a research analyst with Gartner, Inc over 15 years. He also served as CTO of Waveset, an identity management start-up acquired by Sun. As a Senior Director for KPMG, he assessed regulatory compliance and information security for clients in the Northeast region. Bill worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie, White Plains, and Somers, NY for twelve years in MVS and zOS development, testing, business planning, and strategic planning. Bill began his career in IT in 1974 at the John Hancock Insurance Company as an application developer, writing in 360 Assembler and COBOL.
Bill is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He majored in Mathematics at MIT.
