The Wireless Technology Forum, the leading organization in the South East representing the wireless and mobile community, has announced that Jay Lee, Senior Director Product Development for ESPN Digital Media will be speaking at its 2nd annual Wireless Applications and Mobile Media (WAMM) Awards on October 20, 2011 in Atlanta Georgia.Launched in November of 2004, The Wireless Technology Forum holds approximately 20 meetings a year regarding the wireless industry. Past speakers include; Ralph de la Vega, President CEO of AT&T Wireless & Consumer Markets; Chris Thomas, CTO Intel Corporation; Jeff Pulver, Co-founder Vonage, Keith Pardy, CMO Research In Motion and Glenn Lurie, President AT&T Emerging Devices. The Forum is a place to learn about the business of new emerging wireless and mobile technologies business models and their convergence, network with other like-minded professionals, and apply these technologies to their existing business or creation of new business.
The WAMM Awards have been created to showcase the best of the best in wireless and mobile media applications and Personalities. Goals of the WAMM Awards are to promote the best Wireless and Mobile Media applications in the Southeast region and US and to expand the visibility of the Wireless Technology Forum. Awards will be given in a broad range of categories, as selected by leaders in the industry and individual voters. Winners will be announced at the live event and via global web broadcast.
Jay Lee was named Senior Director, Product Development for ESPN Digital Media in March 2010. He is responsible for the overall product development and management of ESPN's mobile products, including its industry-leading mobile Web sites, applications, games, alerts and messaging and mobile video products. His leadership shapes ESPN's overall mobile product vision and strategy for the creation and communication of product and project.
