Feldman Orthodontics Announces 2011 Scholarship Winners
Feldman Orthodontics awards $1,000 college scholarships to two Tampa area high school seniors
TAMPA, FL, June 11, 2011
Feldman Orthodontics, Tampa's #1 Orthodontist for over 29 years, is pleased to announce the winners of the 21st annual Feldman Orthodontics Scholarship Essay Competition.Aimee Webber, a graduating senior from Plant High School and Arthur Beredjick, a graduating senior from Chamberlain High School, were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship for submitting winning essays in response to the question, "What a Smile Means to Me." In addition to the winning essays, the winners must have maintained a cumulative state grade point average of 2.5 or better, have achieved a minimum SAT score of 1000 or minimum ACT score of 22, must have submitted a letter of recommendation from their school and have a letter of acceptance from a college of their choice.
The scholarships were presented at an awards dinner honoring the winners, their parents, and their guidance counselors, held at the South Tampa location of Feldman Orthodontics. Dr. Randy Feldman and several staff members of Feldman Orthodontics joined the honorees and guests in celebration during the event held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. In addition to the $1,000 scholarship awards, Dr. Feldman also presented each winner with a copy of the book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss.
Dr. Feldman has awarded the Feldman Orthodontics Scholarship to over 40 graduating seniors from local high schools during the past 20 years. This scholarship is given to outstanding graduating seniors in recognition of their potential to both excel in their future endeavors and to become a contributing member of their community. Dr. Feldman is committed to giving something back to the community and recognizing those individuals with the potential to continue with that legacy of service.
