SOMERSET, WI, June 11, 2011 (Press-News.org) The K-Sun GREEN MACHINE has been selected as a finalist in Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine's 2011 Product of the Year competition.
The K-Sun GREEN MACHINE is among four products in the Testing, Test Instruments, Meters, and Data-loggers category. The K-Sun GREEN MACHINE is an adhesive label, heat-shrink tube, and bar-code thermal-transfer printer system. Designed to meet the EU Eco-Design Directive, the GREEN MACHINE is energy efficient, has non-hazardous parts, uses recycled plastic and includes other green features.
The product runs on standard AA or rechargeable batteries or an international AC adapter. Advanced features include a large, high-intensity backlit display, quick keys for 12 languages/Euro-Latin characters plus font selection and type size; and hot keys patch-panel, wire-wrap, or flag labels for wire and cable identification.
Used with K-Sun's MaxiLabel Pro Ver. 3.0 software, the printer can create hundreds of ANSI safety, industrial, electrical, hospital, construction and general symbols and has the ability to easily import custom images. Add-on symbols libraries include laboratory/medical, electrical and homeland security.
In its seventh year, Consulting-Specifying Engineer's Product of the Year contest is an award competition for new products in the HVAC, fire, electrical, and plumbing engineering industry. The annual readers-choice Product of the Year awards were created to provide Consulting-Specifying Engineer's readers with information about the top new product in their fields.
