BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, June 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) Visitors to Bournemouth have an opportunity to come face-to-face with some of the world's most fearsome predators at BBC Sea Monsters next month.
Taking place at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), the exhibition is based on the acclaimed Sea Monsters television series from 2003 featuring wildlife expert Nigel Marven.
The programmes were created by the same production team as Walking with Dinosaurs and Walking with Beasts - shows that won plaudits for using computer-generated imagery to bring creatures from the past back to life.
Sea Monsters, which gets underway at the south coast venue on Saturday July 9th and will run until September, will allow visitors to witness predators such as the great white shark and giant squid at close quarters.
People can also take a ride in the exhibition's deep sea submarine simulator, which provides an insight into the latest scientific discoveries at the bottom of the ocean.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online, priced at GBP7.50 for adults and GBP5.50 for children under 16. Doors will open at 10:00 BST and final entry to the exhibition is at 17:00.
LateRooms.com offers a wide range of Bournemouth hotels that could appeal to families visiting the BIC, including the Royal Bath Hotel Bournemouth.
For more information on this event, visit http://www.bic.co.uk/ or contact the venue on 0844 576 3000.
