Izzycue Gulf Wild-caught Chem-free Shrimp Is Now Traceability-enhanced Through Trace Register LLC For Whole Foods Market

Izzycue with its Affiliate Catcher Processor based out of Bayou La Batre, Alabama is striving for Best-in-Class with the addition of a Global Traceability Program to its wild-caught chemical-free shrimp product lines.

2011-06-13
BETHESDA, MD, June 13, 2011 (Press-News.org) Bayou La Batre, Alabama & Potomac, Maryland, June 11, 2011 - Izzycue and its hand-picked shrimp Affiliate, a vertically-integrated 4th Generation shrimp catcher and processor has obtained full Seafood Traceability Certification through a global entity known as Trace Register LLC.

"We are please and proud to be invited by Whole Foods Market to pilot this program for them on a national level", Kenneth H. Tan, Founder and CEO of Izzycue.

The Trace Register System is a unique electronic accountability system that enables seafood to be traced back to the original catcher processor anywhere in the world, thereby giving full clarity and visibility of each point of handling from catch to plate.

"Izzycue has always been an early adopter when it comes to meaningful new trends in the marketplace of food service and industrial food processing. We have pioneered animal welfare with further-processed eggs in 2005, led non-GMO dairy promotion, championed rBST-free FP dairy, offered trans-fat free baked goods, and now this new line of Chemical-free, Wild-caught shrimp with full traceability is one more important notch in our ascension to the top of the food chain" added Kenneth.

More and more, companies will soon come to grips with the importance of a fully workable food traceability program as with it, it allows them to TRACE BACK to issues and problems, thereby being able to TRACK FORWARD to all affected points of contact or distribution.
