BERLIN, GERMANY, June 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) Snoop Dogg is set to headline Berlin's Columbia Hall next month as part of his extensive world tour.
The veteran hip-hop star is heading to the German capital for the show on Tuesday July 12th 2011 and is also scheduled to play at some of the country's other major cities, including Cologne, Hamburg and Munich.
His latest run of gigs has been organised to promote new album Doggumentary, which features tracks such as Toyz n da Hood, Peer Pressure and Cold Game.
Released at the end of March, the record sees Snoop hook up with a string of big-name acts, vocalists and rappers, including Kanye West, Gorillaz and Willie Nelson.
As well as material from Doggumentary, fans can look forward to hearing some of his previous hits, such as Who Am I (What's My Name) and Gin and Juice.
Since rising to global prominence back in 1992 with the release of debut LP Doggystyle, the man born Calvin Broadus has rarely been away from the limelight.
As well as recording 11 studio albums, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters such as the 2004 remake of Starsky & Hutch and reality TV shows like Snoop Dogg's Father Hood.
He has also proved to be a major draw for advertisers, endorsing everything from his own brand of malt liquor to online security software Norton Antivirus.
Tickets for Snoop's Berlin show are priced at EUR45.50 (GBP40) and the gig is scheduled to get underway at 20:00 local time.
The Columbia Hall is located on Columbiadamm, around five kilometres south of the central business district and close to the Hasenheide Public Park.
Yorkstrasse is the venue's nearest S-Bahn and U-Bahn station.
Fans of the rapper planning to attend the concert can use LateRooms.com to choose from a wide and varied selection of Berlin hotels, such as the Maritim Hotel Berlin.
