In Support of Commander, Navy Installations Command, Anchor Innovation, Inc., Developed The U.S. Navy Harbor Patrol Unit Operating Procedures Instruction.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, June 15, 2011

Anchor Innovation, Inc. (Anchor) announced today that Commander, Navy Installations Command has promulgated the Anchor developed U.S. Navy Harbor Patrol Unit Operating Procedures instruction. The effort was completed in support of a United States Fleet Forces (USFF) contract to provide standard operating procedures for harbor security boat operations and is closely aligned with the CNO's Antiterrorism Strategic Guidance.

Anchor developed the instruction working closely with region and installation harbor patrol units to capture standing best practices and define operating procedures that provide for the protection of critical operational assets in Navy ports. Coordination included on-site visits with all major fleet concentration area harbor patrol units and interaction with Navy small craft operations subject matter experts. The instruction improves effectiveness, reduces risk, and implements standardization for the vital waterfront protection mission.
