Ranch Rider Sees Increased Interest In Alberta After Announcement Of Royal Visit

According to riding holiday specialist Ranch Rider, news of the royal visit to the Calgary Stampede, has sparked increased interest in bookings for the event and ranch stays across Alberta

2011-06-17
LONDON, ENGLAND, June 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) Reports estimate that over three billion people worldwide tuned into the royal wedding, and while the big day is over, interest in the newly titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, shows no sign of waning. Earlier this month palace officials released details of the couple's first overseas trip to Canada and southern California (June 30 to July 10), and according to riding holiday specialist Ranch Rider, the announcement has been met with a flurry of requests for Alberta - their visit coinciding with the opening of North America's world-famous rodeo event, the Calgary Stampede (08-17 July).

Tony Daly, Managing Director of Ranch Rider, comments "The Calgary Stampede started 100 years ago in 1912, so what better way to celebrate its centenary than to have the newly wedded royals attend the event. Interest in our add on adventure to view the western festival, and the Homeplace Ranch in Alberta (also celebrating 100 years of operation) has really grown over the last week - testament to the continuing appeal of the couple and their effect on people's travel plans."

Guests staying at the Homeplace Ranch from 03-17 July can saddle up for the rodeo of a lifetime as part of their stay - the ranch located only 35-miles from the "Greatest Outdoor show On Earth". 6-nights from GBP1,274pp (two sharing) including tickets & transfers to Calgary. Car hire from GBP285.

Ranch Rider also offers alternative Alberta stays at the Lucasia Working Ranch (6-nights from GBP1,095pp, no single supplement, exc. transfers) and Bent Creek Cattle Ranch (6-nights from GBP985pp, n single supplement, exc. transfers) - the tour operator's add on Calgary Stampede adventure starting from GBP299pp including, two nights hotel accommodation and a two day Calgary Stampede ticket, complete with entry to the rodeo, chuckwagon races and evening grandstand finale show.

Daly continues, "While the Calgary Stampede's one-million regular visitors might not compare to the number of devoted royal wedding fans, the 2011 festival will be a sought after event, Will & Kate's popularity already boosting interest in the rodeo and ranch stay bookings in one of Canada's most scenic provinces."

The above prices (unless otherwise stated) include accommodation, meals, ranch/riding activities, taxes, and gratuities. Ranch Rider; 01509 618811; info@ranchrider.com; http://www.ranchrider.com.
