Rabine Group Employees Complete OSHA Training for work safety

SCHAUMBURG, IL, June 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) Rabine Group employees recently attended "OSHA 10 Hour for Construction", Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)'s training course designed to help employees create the safest work environment possible. Rabine Group Project Managers have been encouraged take the 30-hour training course to ensure optimum safety on the job. Close to a hundred Rabine Group employees and executives participated in a two-day course that took place at a state-of-the-art training facility at the Rabine Group headquarters in Schaumburg. The training program included three courses that were taught in English and one in Spanish, designed to help employees recognize and overcome hazards that they may encounter at paving construction and maintenance projects.

The OSHA 10 Hour for Construction discussed how both the employer and employee can advocate for a safe work environment. The OSHA Focus Four is a topic that teaches employees ways to recognize and avoid fall hazards and electrical hazards, as well as, what to do in a situation where they are caught between or struck by hazards. Employees also learned about power tool safety, excavation hazards, health hazards in construction and materials handling hazards.

Bob Wasberg, Rabine Group's Safety Manager, facilitated the training. Bob Wasberg says, "Interestingly, our customers are demanding companies with highly trained employees and good safety records. Some have mentioned that it is difficult to find paving companies with good safety programs and training that meet the approval of their corporate safety department.
