HAMPSHIRE, ENGLAND, June 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Visitors to Treloar's included former governors, former staff members and ex-students, as well as members of the local community. Visitors were very keen to see the good work that goes into providing education, care and therapy for young disabled people at Treloar's, as well as view the progress to the Vision Treloar's project.
Students and members of the Treloar Trust, including Chief Executive, Tony Reid, greeted the visitors.
Community Development Manager, Jon Colville, gave a welcoming speech to guests.
He said: "You have come to see Treloar's at a key time in our history. What we are achieving now we hope will be the future for Treloar's for another 100 years.
"Here you will see some of the most talented people in the country, as they go about their job every day doing some remarkable work including occupational therapy as well as speech and language therapy, among others."
A number of tour groups were then led around the Holybourne site to see lessons in action. These included domestic independence, textiles and the Treloar's Trailblazer vehicle.
After the tour programme concluded, those who wished to take part in an external tour of the new buildings were led around the works.
Treloar's Jon Colville praised the speed of the large-scale building work, adding: "We are now only weeks away from becoming a centre of excellence, and the work that has gone on to create this is incredible."
"It is nice to see so many of our neighbours in Holybourne have joined us to witness what is taking place in the community."

Fathers Have Equal Rights to Custody of Children After a Divorce
As Father's Day approaches, it is worth noting the changing attitudes courts have towards divorcing fathers. Attorneys are seeing the results of a "father's rights movement" in family law. The long-held bias against fathers obtaining custody of children after divorce is slowly becoming less apparent in today's courtrooms.
The movement is partially the result of society's changing views of a father's role in child rearing. Currently, most fathers seek at least some form of joint custody over ...

Lifetime Alimony Payments May End In Massachusetts
A grassroots movement promoting reform of Massachusetts alimony laws and backed by the Massachusetts Bar Association is gaining momentum. Legislation introduced this year would set limits on the number of years and the amount of payments an ex-spouse can pay in alimony.
Attention to the law arose because of the efforts of Stephen Hitner, who founded the group Alimony Reform after declaring bankruptcy in part because of his obligation to pay $45,000 a year in alimony.
The proposed bill will include alimony term ...

Going it Alone During Foreclosure Can be Risky
Homeowners are increasingly trying to fight foreclosure without attorney representation, The New York Times recently reported. In worst-case scenarios, homeowners are even using unscrupulous home loan modification companies who defraud the homeowner and make his or her situation worse. Other homeowners simply do their best in communicating with the bank or mortgage holder on their own, learning as they go along.
It is possible to negotiate with your mortgage holder, but often these companies can be slow in responding ...

Ohio Supreme Court Clarifies Premises-Based Liability Insurance Exclusion
This year the Ohio Supreme Court decided for the first time to what degree a negligence claim must be connected to a premises in order to trigger a premises liability exclusion. A premises liability exclusion bars claims that occur on premises not listed in the policy.
The Court held that the exclusion bars claims "arising out of" the property that are not identified in the policy as an insured location. Furthermore, it held that such an exclusion does not cover claims based only upon ...
