The Greater Austin Business Awards are the premier business awards in Central Texas, recognizing small, medium and large companies in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson counties. This Austin Chamber of Commerce signature event recognizes the small, medium, large businesses that shine in these categories: Community Relations, Customer Service, Environment, Health and Wellness, Innovative Practices, and Technology. An award is also given to a non-profit organization, and a live audience vote during the event will select the business that is "Most Uniquely Austin."

Nomination finalists in the environmental category will be selected by a panel of judges based on numerous criteria including: their integration of innovation into their daily work environment, implementation of new energy saving and environmentally conscious technology, and recent innovations that have improved their service offerings.
