Anchor Vans raises money for St Michael's Hospice, Basingstoke, with sponsored bike ride

PADWORTH, ENGLAND, June 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Anchor Vans - one of the leading vendors of used vans in the UK announces that it has participated in a sponsored off-road bike ride to raise money for St Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke. "We're delighted to announce that we all be got on the bikes and went off-road for the sponsored cycle ride fundraiser," said Simon Joyce, Sales Director for Anchor Vans. "The event is took place on the 5th of June and luckily the weather was fine enough for us." St Michael's Hospice provides care for patients with incurable and chronic illnesses and their families, both in the hospice and the local community.

When asked why Anchor Vans participated in the event, Simon replied; "We do several charity events a year and make donations to local charities to help our community, but this one is close to our hearts. One of our members of staff has a close friend being cared for by St Michael's Hospice and so we know just how important their work is. They provide all their services free of charge and depend on charitable donations, so we aimed to raise as much as we can!"
