SAN DIEGO, CA, June 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) In an exclusive interview with Construction Digital, company CEO Terry Miles explains how for three decades, GippsAero has been an established name in the aeronautical industry in Australia.
Founded in 1977 by George Morgan and Peter Furlong, GippsAero started out as an aircraft maintenance and modification business working at the Latrobe Regional Airport in Morwell. The company worked for local commercial aircraft operators and some larger organizations such as the National Safety Council and Esso.
As time passed GippsAero had made so many modifications to agricultural aircraft that the company decided to certify its new design and its manufacturing branch was born.The company's first original aircraft design was the GA200, which achieved Australian CAA certification standards in 1991 and received US certification in 1997.

GippsAero has manufactured 45 model GA200 aircrafts in the Latrobe Valley near Melbourne, with 28 of these aircrafts being exported to clients in countries all over the globe, including the US, China, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand and South Africa.
