LateRooms.com - Skunk Anansie to Headline Neapolis Festival in Naples

NAPLES, ITALY, June 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Neapolis Festival in Naples will this year be headed up by Skunk Anansie, who will play the first day of the music event.

Taking place over the weekend of July 9th and 10th, the occasion will also include performances by Hercules and Love Affair, Mogwai and Underworld.

Skunk Anansie, the British rock band fronted by Skin, were hugely successful during the 1990s and reformed in 2009.

They released a new album in September 2010 and combine new material with classic hits such as Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good), Charlie Big Potato and Secretly.

Skin and her band will take the stage on July 9th with Marlene Kuntz, Mogwai, Architecture in Helsinki and The Shak & Speares.

The following day, Underworld will headline, preceded by Hercules and Love Affair, Crocodiles, Battles and New York New York.

Previous editions of the festival have seen acts such as Nick Cave, Deep Purple, NOFX, The Cure, The Prodigy and David Bowie perform.

Tickets for one day cost EUR35 (GBP31.25) plus booking fees in advance and EUR40 on the door, while two-day passes are priced at EUR60 and EUR80 respectively.
