Cynthia Rothrock Is Back
Martial arts legend Cynthia Rothrock takes on her biggest ever challenge in forthcoming British horror movie!
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, June 30, 2011
It was recently announced that legendary martial artist and undisputed queen of action movies, Cynthia Rothrock will be making her return to the screen after almost ten years, quite surprisingly as the star of British horror movie, 'Friday's Child'.Rothrock, who made her name in hard hitting Hong Kong action movies such as 'Yes Madam', 'Righting Wrongs' and 'Lady Reporter', before becoming an international star with smash hit, 'China O' Brien', will star alongside British scream queen favourites, Eileen Daly, (Razor Blade Smile,) Emily Booth, (Doghouse, Evil Aliens) and rising star Zara Phythian, (The Hike) in the independent production to be written, produced and directed by former cult movie critic, Dean Meadows and his new company Pentagram Pictures.
'Friday's Child' is currently in development and details at this time are rather secretive, however Meadows stated, "Cynthia's fans have been waiting a long time to see her back on the big screen and we will not disappoint them with what is being hailed as, 'The reinvention of Rothrock', but this is a horror movie, not a martial arts flick and as such is being produced primarily to appeal to that audience... with Cynthia being involved, 'Friday's Child' brings a new dawn to British horror entertainment!"
During a recent appearance at 'The Martial Arts Show' in the UK Cynthia stated, "I'm very excited about Friday's Child and the script is amazing! I love it here in England and can't wait to spend time working on the movie."
