ORLANDO, FL, June 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) The 32nd Telly Awards announced their 2011 winners, and The Digital Animation and Visual Effects School took six, three of them Silver Tellys, which are the highest Tellys awarded. Since 1978, The Telly Awards, whose partners include YouTube, Stash, dv.com, and Animation Magazine, have been honoring the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web. Their mission has been to strengthen the visual arts community by inspiring, promoting, and supporting creativity. Besides The DAVE School submissions, this year's annual Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents.
Awards are nothing new to The DAVE School. In November, 2010, The DAVE School won 13 Crystal Reel Awards, beating out other schools, including Full Sail University and Ringling College of Art and Design, in the competition. The DAVE School was also the winner of the "Best Animation" award from the 2010 Star Wars Fan Film Movie Challenge, sponsored by Lucasfilm and judged by George Lucas.
"Winning six Telly Awards is a testimony to the strength of our program and caliber of our students," said DAVE School Executive Director Steve Warner. "Both of the films we submitted were created in just 12 weeks. All of the animation and visual effects were created by students, many of whom had never worked with computer graphics software before coming to the school. We are extremely proud of the work they did and are happy that the industry has chosen to award their exceptional work as well."

Federal Efforts at Tort Reform
2011-06-30
Last year, the Illinois Supreme Court rejected damage caps in medical malpractice cases. Now federal legislation has been introduced seeking to limit non-economic damages in nursing home negligence and medical malpractice claims while shortening the statute of limitations. This of course represents politicians efforts to once again cater to the insurance lobby. This is of course contrary to objective evidence that such measures have a negligible effect on overall costs while drastically curtailing individual legal rights.

As the years progressed Chicago injury attorneys began advertising their services in newspapers. 800 telephone numbers were activated to allow the public to call in and ask legal questions for free. ...
