MESA, AZ, September 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) Sally Marks, president of Marks Public Relations, announced the firm has been hired by Author John Noel Hampton to promote his new book, The Wrong Bus, An Urban Christmas Story.
The fictional tale, set in Los Angeles centers around Ida, a wealthy, older optimist who sets out to complete her Christmas shopping. However, little does she know the dramatic turn her life will take when she decides to go by bus to save a few dollars and becomes the victim of a brutal assault. Her luck takes a three-sixty turn when Junior, a young African-American student from the wrong side of town with troubles of his own, comes to her rescue-or does it? Christmas in Los Angeles can bring out the worst in some, but it can also spin misery into miracles and just maybe restore faith.
The screenplay for the book has been optioned twice in Hollywood by film producer, Rob Dorfman and Actress Olympia Dukakis has expressed interest in playing the role of Ida.
The book is available through Amazon for $9.99, or the authorâEUR s website, http://www.JohnNoelHampton.com. Now, through Nov. 30, the author will donate $2 from the sale of each book to charity.
âEURœIâEUR m an avid, but picky reader, especially when it comes to fiction,âEUR said Marks. âEURœI read The Wrong Bus and was instantly enthralled. The fact that John is offering such a generous donation from each sale makes this the perfect holiday purchase.âEUR
