Project Agency Expands its e-learning Offering

Project management training and development specialist, Project Agency, has expanded its e-learning offerings by publishing 'Project Planning'.

2011-07-07
ST ALBANS, ENGLAND, July 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Project management training and development specialist, Project Agency, has expanded its e-learning offerings by publishing 'Project Planning'.

Ron Rosenhead, Project Agency's chief executive, explained: "This development is in line with our strategy of publishing short project management related e-learning modules. We want to publish low cost, high quality materials so that many people can access these important modules.

"This new module - dealing with what is, for some, the backbone of project management - includes a practical, simple-to-use system for planning projects. It shows how to break a project into its component parts and stresses the importance of predecessor relationships.

"It also explains how to overcome over-optimism when estimating and shows the user how to develop and use a range of project planning tools such as Gantt & milestone charts."

Rosenhead also suggested that the course can be for an individual, a project team, or a specific group of staff who need to develop their project planning skills.

Priced at GBP25 and available from Project Agency's e-learning portal (http://learning.projectagency.co.uk), the module complements the company's 'Perfect Project' course, which was launched earlier this year. That course is intended for those who want to develop their project management skills and understand what lies beneath successful project delivery.

Project Agency's e-learning materials combine reading material, activities (with model answers), audio commentary, video, on-screen guidance and assessments to enable learners to:
• use a standardised framework for defining, planning and controlling projects
• recognise the role(s) they play and define other people's contribution to the project management process
• recognise and reduce risks within all types of project work and
• use a range of tools related to project management

"Delivering your plan is key to project success," said Rosenhead, "so we believe that makes Project Planning a 'must do' course."
