ST. AUGUSTINE, FL, July 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) A St. Augustine vacation rental home is being featured on the premier episode of the new PBS series Getting Away Together, Vacation Rental Pros' founder and CEO Steve Milo announced today.
The privately owned home, Infinity Point at 4 Viejo Street, St. Augustine, was selected to inaugurate the new half-hour series, which debuts in October 2011 on Public Broadcasting System (PBS) member stations across the nation.
Getting Away Together shows diverse groups of real vacationers -- families and friends -- spending time together in some of the most fascinating and beautiful vacation rental properties in America. Family reunions, celebrations, and informal "escapes" are all portrayed in the show, with special attention focused on destinations, interesting life stories, and travel advice.
Unlike other travel shows, Getting Away Together emphasizes the concept of "togethering" -- the first reality travel series to concentrate on the experience of sharing a vacation with family and friends. Each episode features a new group of travelers.
The Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) is introducing the show as part of its Discover Vacation Homes awareness initiative. Vacation Rental Pros, a member of VRMA, manages more than 430 luxury, self-catered beach rentals throughout Florida, including Ocean Hammock Resort in Palm Coast, St. Augustine Beach, Venice, and Siesta Key.
Getting Away Together is being produced by Jacksonville's Emmy Award-winning PineRidge Film and Television Company. Series sponsors include VRMA, TripAdvisor, CSA Travel Protection, and 13 dynamic travel destinations.
