Montgomery Alliance Schedules Seminar on Effective Grant Writing
The Montgomery Alliance for Community Giving, www.montgomeryalliance.org, announces another in its series of seminars for Montgomery County's non-profit community.

10 Points to Effective Grant Writing is scheduled for 8 to 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 5 at the Camille Kendall Academic Center (Building III), Suite 4219, at the Universities at Shady Grove, 9636 Gudelsky Dr., Rockville, MD 20850Admission is free for representatives of non-profit agencies and organizations; advance registration is required.
"Traditional sources of funding for non-profits are more and more difficult to identify," says Montgomery Alliance President Harriet Guttenberg. "Writing successful grant proposals can lead to resources that keep an organization in operation. It's part of Montgomery Alliance's mission to assist the local non-profit community with resources that go beyond fundraising and financial support."
The two-hour program will be presented by Richard Franetzki, President of Capital BCS Consulting, http://www.capitalbcs.com, and Colette Releford, President of Strive Business Solutions, http://www.strivebusinesssolutions.com. The seminar will be both interactive and comprehensive, giving attendees the foundation needed to determine the best next steps for their organizations.
Topics to be covered include an introduction to grants, searching for funding opportunities, identifying the right opportunities for your organization, project budgets, building win-win partnerships and more.
