PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC, August 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) Ripfest, a heavy metal festival featuring a host of rock gods, gets underway near Prague at the end of the month.
The one-day event takes place on August 28th, with former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne set to headline the packed bill.
Fans will be hoping that Osbourne, who is ranked in eighth place on Hit Parader's 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Vocalists of all Time, will perform some of his famous hits at the show, including the likes of Bark at the Moon, Killer of Giants and Lightning Strikes.
Speaking in promotion of the concert, the vocalist told local newspaper Denik: "The more you go crazy, the crazier I will go and the longer I will play. It will be a great show!"
Lining up alongside Osbourne at Ripfest will be notorious US rock stars Korn, plus Nazareth and Ken Hensley with his new band the Live Fire.
Although the festival does not take place in the Czech capital, music fans planning to head out from their Prague hotels to attend can get a return bus journey to the site for just 200 Czech koruna (GBP6.65).
Tickets for the event are available from 1,646 koruna and exclusive Gold Zone access can be purchased for 2,160 koruna.
