Bootcamp Pilates first opened a pilates studio in Notting Hill in 2005 and have since opened studios in Hoxton (The City), Fulham (Kensington & Chelsea). People were travelling far and wide to attend Pilates classes at Bootcamp and due to popular demand Bootcamp recently opened their first Pilates studio outside of London which is in Richmond-upon-Thames in Surrey.

The owners were the first to bring the concept of Reformer Pilates to London from LA where it was being widely used by celebrities as it not only gets you fit, it tones every part of your body. Elizabeth Hurley, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman are just a few early adopters of Reformer Pilates.

Based on Joseph Pilates’ principles of 100 years ago, when in a war camp during World War 1, he helped his fellow inmates who were bed-ridden to use their beds and whatever else he could muster to create resistance exercise while they were lying down.
Back then, he used the bedsprings themselves, cables, springs and pulleys attached to the hospital beds to get the patients to use their muscles, and stop them from atrophying.
The Reformer machine we have today is a sophisticated version of what Pilates used in those days. It's a well-designed and safe system of springs, straps and pulleys which all work together to provide an effective, no-impact stretching and toning workout. It’s kind to your skeleton and joints, and helps lengthen and strengthen your muscles without putting on bulk. It establishes torso stability and postural alignment.
Bootcamp Pilates hold mixed classes at all of the Pilates studios but also hold separate classes for men and women. Bootcamp are so confident that you will feel the difference after just one training session and want to come back that they offer the first pilates class for free.
