ROCHESTER HILLS, MI, August 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Exponential growth led the e-commerce company, Aleva Stores, to move to a bigger warehouse to accommodate their entire inventory. Previously operating out of a 14,000 square foot building, they are now located in a 34,280 square foot building in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Before the warehouse switch was in effect, 2011 was already shaping up to be an enormous year for the online retail company. In the beginning of the year, Aleva Stores bought out DocOrtho.com - a braces and supports online retailer - which led to bringing in braces and supports for ankles, elbows, knees and much more to their inventory.
Since then, they launched two more sites, SocksAppeal.com and RunningSocks.com. Before the launch of these two sites, Aleva Stores' focus was medical compression stockings. The new sites make Aleva Stores involved in athletic, casual and dress socks.
The addition of the three online stores - with a fourth on the way this year - brought the total of online retail sites Aleva Stores operates to nine. The larger warehouse will allow better organization and storage of inventory for each online retail site.
With multiple employees also added to the Aleva Stores team this year alone, moving to the bigger building will also allow for more office space to better suit the entire company.
The company, which saw its revenue more than double in the last three years, also recently learned they are part of Internet Retailer's Second 500. Through definitive ranking and analysis, Internet Retailer ranked up-and-coming e-retailers based on 2010 sales. While Aleva Stores is ranked 601 overall, they come in at number seven overall in the Health/Beauty category.
The warehouse move, in addition to the Internet Retailer ranking, are signs of Aleva Stores being set to do big things.
