GreenWorld BVI Introduces Socially Responsible Timber Investment in Germany for Retail Investors

Hardwood Forestry Investment in Germany Allows Individuals to Access Forestry Asset Class

2011-08-06
TORTOLA, BVI, August 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) As world financial markets plunge, boutique alternative investment firm GreenWorld BVI has introduced a unique timber investment targeted at retail investors.

GreenWorld BVI is offering a timber investment due to the low correlation of forestry and timber investments to financial assets such as stocks and bonds. The firm also believes that timber investments offer a safe haven should inflation accelerate as the money printed by global central banks works its way into economies.

The timber investment opportunity is based in Germany, and involves the unique Paulownia tree. Until recently, Paulownia could only thrive in warmer climates, but intensive research over the last few years has resulted in the development of clones that can also thrive in the European climate.

Paulownia is a hardwood timber that has long been used in the making of moldings, cabinets, veneers, furniture and musical instruments. It has now been recognized for applications where weight is an important element- such as marine construction, aircraft construction, trucks, trains, RVs, buses, pallets, crates, finished products to be shipped and vehicle interiors.

"We were attracted to this investment not only because of the many uses for Paulownia timber, but also because the project is located in the highly stable country of Germany," stated Josh Cohn, Partner at GreenWorld BVI. " Germany is one of the richest countries in the world, and its predictable legal and political system add security to our clients' investment," added Cohn.

The timber investment has a twelve year-term, which Cohn noted was faster then many other hardwood timber investments, and plots are available starting from one-half hectare and above. Cohn added that the investment was targeted at retail investors, with prices starting as low as 16,000 Euros (about $23,000 and approximately GBP14,000). The plantation managers are estimating returns in excess of 300% at the end of the twelve year term of the investment, which comes out to approximately 15% per year compounded. Interested investors can visit GreenWorld BVI's site for more details on its forestry investment: http://www.greenworldbvi.com/investment-options/timber/.

GreenWorld (BVI) currently offers the following opportunities to individual investors, the majority of which qualify under British SIPP investment regulations: http://www.greenworldbvi.com/investment-options/. These investment options include:

Court Decision Puts Right to Cross-Examination in Question In Massachusetts, prosecutors recently won at the Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) with an important decision: Technicians do not have to be called to testify that the breath analysis device used to determine the blood alcohol content level of a DUIsuspect is properly working. Defense attorneys argued that the ruling is a violation of a defendant's Sixth Amendment right to confrontation, which gives people the right to cross-examine the witnesses against them, relying upon a U.S. Supreme Court ruling from 2009. ...
