Genting to Support Live Poker at Poker in the Park

Top London Poker Destination to Sponsor Poker Dome

2011-08-12
LONDON, ENGLAND, August 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) Organisers have announced that Genting Casinos, through their flagship London card rooms the Palm Beach and Bluff @ The Mint will be sponsoring one of the Poker Domes at Poker in the Park, which hits London's Hanover Square on 2nd and 3rd September.

Poker in the Park is Europe's biggest free poker festival which, as well as offering free poker lectures and tuition, music and entertainment, will be running live sit and go's around the clock in two giant Poker Domes. Last year, the domes proved massively popular, with players coming from all over the country and queuing around the block to get a piece of the action.

The Palm Beach, situated in nearby Mayfair, has become the poker destination for London in recent years and a hub of the poker community. Over in South Kensington, meanwhile, Bluff @ The Mint offers great value cash games and tournaments around the clock.

Festival organiser Michael Caselli said, "The Palm Beach is a name that's synonymous with the London poker scene and so we're thrilled to have them on board at Poker in the Park. It's going to be a really fun environment with lots and lots of live poker."

London Poker Manager at Genting, Simon Tomsett, added: "It's always been very important to Genting to support the game of poker wherever and whenever we can, and so we're delighted to be involved with a great event like Poker in the Park which gives us the chance to get behind the game on a real grassroots level."
