TUCSON, AZ, August 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) IRI Golf Group, the premiere golf course management company with courses across the United States, is proud to once again participate in Patriot Golf Day. IRI Golf once again shows its commitment to our nation's Armed Forces and their families through their participation in this annual program now entering its 5th year. Patriot Golf Day was founded in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney - Founder of the Folds of Honor Foundation, F-16 Pilot, PGA Professional and USGA member.
Patriot Golf Day is the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides college scholarships for the children and spouses of our military men and women who have been killed or disabled while fighting for the freedoms Americans hold so dear. The Patriot Golf Day is supported jointly by the PGA and the USGA.
On Labor Day weekend, golfers across the country are asked to add an extra dollar to their greens fees. These donations fund the Folds of Honor scholarships. The inaugural Patriot Golf Day in 2007 resulted in donations totaling over $1.1 million. Since 2008, more than $5.3 million has been raised at Patriot Golf Days nationwide, providing children and spouses of our military heroes with scholarships to better their own lives. IRI Golf Group is thrilled to be participating in the 2011 Patriot Golf Day at all IRI Golf managed courses.
Iri Golf Management is one of the most experienced and uniquely qualified operators in the golf industry today. We have operated over 120 golf facilities and our management team has over thirty years experience in the golf industry. The fundamental strengths and competitive advantages of the Old Pueblo Golf Partners' team are the experience, market position and capability of it's management group. In addition to "hands-on" involvement of all principals, the Old Pueblo Golf Partners' team is benefited by members who have worked together as a group with shared goals for many years. Our management team's track record of success with over 120 courses is exemplary, and our experience in working with municipalities is significant.
