Rabie founded Yellowfin, a global Business Intelligence (BI) vendor developed and headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, in 2003.
The event will explore some of the emerging technologies for tackling fast expanding data volumes and the increasingly important issue of 'big data'.
Rabie's presentation will cover the rapidly changing nature of the Data Warehousing (DW) and BI industry, and explain how faster, easier and more flexible access to reporting and analytics, can help organizations effectively manage and leverage large data sets.
"Organizations from all industries are producing and consuming more and more data," said Rabie.
"The ability to extract value from these growing data sets, by delivering actionable up-to-date information to decision-makers, is also becoming simultaneously more difficult. The affect on front-end technology will mean that the importance of Mobile, Collaborative and Self-service BI will continue to grow."
The event features presentations from highly respected industry experts, including Neil Belford, Chief Architect at Base2Services; Randolph Pullen, Founder and Architect at DeepCloud; and Chris Berkhout, Technical Director at China Policy.
AuSIF (formerly Enterprise Java Australia) was founded in 2002 in partnership with the Victorian Government. AuSIF runs regular seminars and industry forums to share experiences and best practices for applying Java technologies in the enterprise. AuSIF actively encourages learning and collaboration between enterprises, developers, vendors, universities and government.
