COVE, OR, August 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) Terry DeSpain of Coordinating Services LLC commissioned, wildlife artist, Debra Otterstein to create an original work of art for the 5th Year Anniversary of the bike rally to be held August 19-21, 2011.
Otterstein is best known for creating detailed wildlife art on delicate feathers. So creating a painting of a chopper is a bit of departure for the artist. "I really wanted to create something special for the 5th Year Anniversary of the bike rally so I chose an "All American" theme which allowed me to include my wildlife" Otterstein stated. This is also the 5th year that Otterstein has been selected to provide a piece of her artwork for the rally.
The painted feather includes the American Flag, a Bald Eagle portrait and an old school chopper that is framed in a handcrafted barn wood frame created specifically for the "All American" piece.
Otterstein said, "It is a special honor that I have been asked to be part of this great event that helps local non-profits". A percentage of the event revenue will be donated to the new hospital and to the local Community Connection Food Bank, as well as other groups that service the community.
For more information about the artist and her work please see http://www.debotterstein.com.
