Hedingham Castle steps in to help out the Big Bear Charity Festival

2011-09-01
ESSEX, ENGLAND, September 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) The organisers of the Big Bear Festival feared that their event would have to be cancelled after the previous venue had been closed down due to a business decision made by the company that owned the buildings and surround lands. The Bear Fest organisers then put out the word that they needed a new venue to hold their event in.

Hedingham Castle were more than happy to offer to host the Big Bear Festival 2011 and support such a worthy cause. The festival is to be held in remembrance of Sam Bearman, the organiser's son who tragically died from meningitis. The organisers are planning on donating the money raised by the event to Meningitis UK in his honour.

"We are proud to be able to help out such a worthy cause and the castle grounds make the perfect location for an event like this." said Jo Maher, events manager at Hedingham Castle. "We have plenty of parking and camping for those attending the festival." she added.

Headlining the festival will be the local Killers Tribute band, "The Fillers" and "The Kings of Lyon" will also take the stage performing hits from the Kings of Leon back catalogue including; "Youth And Young Manhood" and "Come Around Sunshine". Other top local bands will also be performing such as The Pins, Branco Heist, The A-Ms and Ease Springs.

The event will be held at Hedingham Castle on September 3rd and on the day there will also be a battle of the bands, family fun stalls, bouncy castles and a raffle. This promises to be a great day out for all the family and tickets are available now from http://www.bigbearfest.org.
